Friends of City Hall Park’s “Tree Days in CHP” celebrates and cultivates our park’s fragile, valuable trees and brings attention to the increasing importance of all NYC’s urban forest as we deal with climate change.  Join the group for many planned events, full schedule HERE and highlights below:

Friday, April 18 - Five amelanchier (lelachpattichteak – Lenape) donated by FCHP, planted in 4 CHP sites with DPR and Lenape Center. “Indigenous tree planted to acknowledge its importance to Lenape people in their homeland, here on this land, for thousands of years, and continuing today.”

Tuesday, April 22, 9:00 am - Volunteer day and chalk art forest from 9 - 1 pm (meet at the Warren Street Chess Tables)

Friday, April 25, 4:00 pm - See website for info on squirrel talk, tree walk and join us for a special Arbor Day Civic Ceremony at 4 pm featuring remarks by Joe Baker, Director of the Lenape Center
