Fall Fest!

Come join us as we plant crocus and daffodil bulbs in the NE section of the Park, and celebrate Fall together! Cider and donuts provided. Join wild foods author Marie Viljoen on a botanical walk around City Hall Park. Come and discover the edible urban forest hiding in plain sight. Among other plants we will meet the stately ginkgo, one of the oldest living and most revered tree species on the planet, whose stinky fruit can be transformed into a delectable snack.

We’ll also be hosting a fall-themed book reading by the New York Public Library for children.

Line-up of events:

10:00 AM - Urban Park Rangers & Fall Art Projects (stone cairn painting and gingko leaf printing - bring an old T-shirt to print on if you’d like!)

11:00 AM - Gingko Walk and Plant Talk by Marie Viljoen of 66 Square Feet
