WELCOME
The mission of the City Hall Park Conservancy is to enhance City Hall Park as a community greenspace and New York City-wide symbol, and to celebrate its past and contemporary history. We are working in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, to make the best possible
CITY HALL PARK. We are a registered 501(c)(3) that organizes volunteer gardening and public programs within the City-operated and owned park.
Living History
One of our foremost goals is to bring attention to the rich, and sometimes troubled, history of our neighborhood park. During excavations in 1999, evidence of burials and ephemera left by generations past were found. We are finding ways to highlight and educate the public on these fascinating aspects of our Park.
Programming
Discover an active city park just a short walk from your front door. Free weekly t'ai chi or yoga classes in the summer months, nature discovery programs for children, and cultural education walks to learn more about the fascinating history right below your feet. Our thoughtful, year-round programming will reflect and serve the neighboring communities, as well as visitors and commuters passing through our green oasis.
